Venue: All performances take place in the Studio at Alumnae Theatre

​New Ideas Festival 2017 features 15 new plays.

This year’s plays include a wonderful mix of characters: three inept call centre employees, a 19th century lady’s maid with a secret, a young black woman confronting shadism, a physicist on her way to outer space, a troubled child psychologist, a lovelorn detective, an environmentalist who wants to save a river, and a dancing octopus.

Show times: Wednesday to Saturday, 8 pm
Saturday and Sunday matinées, 2:30 pm (talkback after the Saturday show)
Readings will be at 12 noon on each Saturday, followed by a talkback.
