About Iron Road
Starring Sun Li, Peter O’Toole, Sam Neill, Luke Macfarlane, IRON ROAD (2009) is set during the 1880s construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway. It follows a Chinese woman who disguises herself as a young man to travel to Canada in search of her missing father. While working on dangerous explosives teams in the Rocky Mountains, she navigates racial prejudice and harsh working conditions alongside fellow immigrant laborers. Her journey takes a complex turn when she forms a forbidden romance with the railroad tycoon’s son, forcing her to balance her search with her feelings.

Tickets are free, but seats are limited. Please RSVP below to reserve your spot.
Accessibility
Alumnae Theatre’s Berkeley Street entrance and the Mainstage Theatre are wheelchair accessible. There is a wheelchair-accessible restroom on the ground floor.
